The cold autumn morning was perfect for what has become a Salmon River Central fun and muddy tradition.
Last weekend, the Shamrocks Cross Country team invited schools from all over the North Country for their Seventh Annual Filthy Fun Mud Run.
The event was open to the community and alumni, as well as the present Varsity and JV squads.
The event featured a mud pit and water pit near the end of the course, and while it looked fun to watch the athletes stumble through the cold water, it wasn't a blast for them.
