Akwesasne Communication Society Election Results

Akwesasne – On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, the Akwesasne Communication Society held its annual election to fill three seats for three-year terms. The following individuals have been elected to the Akwesasne Communication Society board of directors for three-year terms:

• Lisa Jock

• Rosemary Bonaparte

• Julia Back

77 community members voted, and Lisa Jock received 58 votes, Rosemary Bonaparte received 57 votes and Julia Back received 50 votes. The other candidate Alma Ransom received 49 votes.

The CKON Radio staff and management congratulate the new board members and look forward to working with the board to continue keeping CKON Radio the number one station in the North Country.
