Scope of Position:
Under the direct supervision of the FNIGC Finance Manager, the Finance/Payroll Assistant will be responsible for processing on-line bi-weekly payroll submissions, maintaining up-to-date records of personnel leave balances, maintaining financial filing and recordkeeping, processing of accounts payable on a weekly basis, receiving and logging incoming mail, and participating as a member of the FNIGC team. This position will be located at the Akwesasne Head Office located on 341 Island Road, Akwesasne, ON.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently and responsibly with an aptitude for accurate recordkeeping and timely processing of payroll and invoices; must maintain and protect confidential financial and human resource information; must have excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work independently and as part of a team; and must be reliable, demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and self-motivation.
Education:
Candidate must possess, at a minimum, a two-year post-secondary diploma in business administration, accounting, or a related field of study, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an office environment.
Work Experience Required:
Experience in accounts payable, payroll processing, financial recordkeeping, MS Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook), and automated Accounting System (Sage 300 ERP or equivalent).
Location:
This position will be based at the FNIGC Head office, 341 Island Road in Akwesasne, ON.
