CATECHETICAL SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2018 This year, the Catholic Church throughout the world will celebrate Catechetical Sunday on September 16, 2018. The 2018 theme will be “Enlisting Witnesses for Jesus Christ.” Catechetical Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the role that each person plays, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the Catholic faith and being a witness to the Gospel. On Catechetical Sunday, Father Jerome will commission the volunteer catechists for this very important ministry. Catechetical Sunday will be an opportunity for all as a community of faith at St. Regis Mission to rededicate themselves to proclaiming the Gospel of Christ. Prayerfully reflect on how you can help. Talk it over with Father Jerome or Vicky Phillips who will teach the Religious Education classes. FAMILY GUGGENHEIM -- OCTOBER 5-7, 2018: The final 2018 session for Family Guggenheim will be on the weekend of October 5-7. It will be a wonderful family experience for parents and children to join with other Catholic families of the diocese for camping in the Adirondacks on Saranac Lake. The St. Regis Mission has two scholarships for our families to enjoy this weekend. Call Father Jerome at (613)-575-2753 if you wish to attend.

YOUTH LEAD: Youth in grades 9 through 12 are invited to join the other youth of the Diocese of Ogdensburg at a Youth Weekend, SEPTEMBER 28-30 at Camp Guggenheim, Saranac Lake. The St. Regis Mission Church has scholarships for all of our youth parishioners who would like to participate. Parents, call Father Jerome if your teenagers would like to attend this camp where there will be faith, fun, and fellowship.
