HOMICIDE VICTIM IDENTIFIED IN JOINT INVESTIGATION

(July 26, 2018) Akwesasne – The Sûreté du Québec’s Crimes Against the Person Investigation Service, in collaboration with the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service and the St. Regis Tribal Police, are currently investigating a homicide following the discovery of unidentified human remains, yesterday [Wednesday, July 25], near St. Regis Island, in Akwesasne.

The investigation has revealed that the victim is Kenneth Francis Leaf, 50 years old, from Akwesasne, who had been missing since January 2018. Investigators from the different police services are working together in order to identify the perpetrator(s) of this vile crime.
