Search Warrant Leads to Multiple Felonies for Akwesasne Man

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police released the following statement late Wednesday night:

On June 20, 2018 the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police conducted a search warrant with the assistance of Homeland Security Investigations and the Border Enforcement Security Taskforce. The search warrant was conducted on the residence of Dana L. Francis on Raquette Point Rd. The search was a culmination of an ongoing narcotics investigation by the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police. Dana L. Francis, 43, has been charged with numerous Felonies including 5 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine) 3rd Degree, 3 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine) 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon (Assault Weapon) 3rd Degree, 7 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon (High Capacity Ammunition Magazine) 3rd Degree. Francis was arraigned at Bombay Town Court and remanded to Franklin County Jail on $15,000 cash and $30,000 bond. This result is an example of the commitment that the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police Department have in ensuring the safety of the community and its residents.
