A Voice from the Eastern Door
A school board member is a person who is willing to serve the total school district. A person committed to improve the education for all students. It is also important that candidates are aware of the role of the board of education, the role of the superintendent and the role of the building principals.
Accordingly, open lines of communication between the above mentioned are crucial, as they will make decisions that will impact the entire school district. The candidates should know that one cannot improve one entity without making needed changes district wide.
At his request, I visited with Mr. Lauzon and I found that he knows the role of a school board member. I found him to be honest, fair, and committed to serve on the Salmon River Central School Board of Education. He knows the school communities and has children attending the SRCSD. His mother is Native American and his father is not Native American, and he is proud of his ancestry. He lives in Ft. Covington, New York, and works on the Mohawk Reservation. I found that he is committed to work to improve our school district, make needed changes that will enrich our educational system, and help students learn to appreciate and respect one another district wide. I therefore endorse and support candidate Jordan Lauzon for the Salmon River Central School Board of Education.
