(June 1, 2018) Tsi Snaihne School students ran in the Ottawa Kids Marathon on Onerahtohko:wa/May 27, 2018. This was the first year that Tsi Snaihne students, along with AMS and Kana:takon school students, participated in the Ottawa Kids Marathon. Tsi Snaihne students prepared for the race, several months prior, by attending Mrs. Mader's after school running club. The students ran the Ottawa Kids Marathon with more than 1,200 other children.
Before the race, the students received a swag bag with their bib number and a kids marathon t-shirt. After crossing the finish line, the children received refreshments and a medal for their participation.
Tsi Snaihne School would like to thank AMBE for providing transportation, Chief Troy Thompson for initiating the organization of this event, and to all AMBE staff and parents who showed their support.
