Police Blotter

St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police blotter, May 4-10:

On May 4, police charged Brittany C. Leblanc, 30, of Hogansburg with speeding (allegedly 54-35 mph zone). Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on May 14.

On May 7, police charged Stephen Forster, 73, of Huntingdon, Quebec; Nicole Lavigne, 74, of Montreal, Quebec; and Jeannine L. Bazinet, 76, of Cornwall, Ontario with parking in a no-park zone. Tickets are returnable to Tribal Court on May 21.

On May 8, police charged Elias Priniotakis, 55, of Laval, Quebec with speeding (allegedly 61-35 mph zone). Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on May 28.

On May 8, police picked up Venus L. Swamp, 50, of Hogansburg on a warrant. She was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and ordered to return May 22.

On May 8, police charged William Stacey, 35, of Akwesasne, Quebec with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He is to appear in Bombay Town Court on June 5.

On May 8, police charged Summer A. Francis, 30, of Akwesasne, Ontario with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, a felony, and misdemeanor DWI. She is to appear in Bombay Town Court on May 29.

On May 9, police charged Tyson C. Thompson, 31, of Hogansburg with speeding (allegedly 57-35 mph zone). Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on June 4.

On May 10, police ticketed Lisabeth E. Tarbell, 58, of Hogansburg with inadequate taillight. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on June 4.

State troopers:

Hunter T. White, 29, of Akwesasne, Ontario was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and a license plate violation at 12:12 a.m. May 17 on state Route 56 in Norfolk. He was released with appearance tickets.

Massena police:

Lillian N. Rockwell, 28, of Hogansburg was charged with loud exhaust at 10:02 a.m. May 15 on state Route 37.

County court actions:

Carl Thompson, 51, of Hogansburg, was sentenced in Franklin County Court on April 30 to five years’ probation after pleading guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony. He was originally charged with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance in connection with a Dec. 11 incident in Malone.

Abram J. Kahl, 26, of Hogansburg was indicted by a St. Lawrence County grand jury on May 10 on a felony charge of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana. He is accused of possessing more than one pound of pot in Potsdam on Jan. 27.
