An exciting opportunity is available for flexible, part-time intern positions with the Akwesasne Cultural Center, the Six Nations Indian Museum, and The Wild Center. We are taking applications for three unique internship positions – to start May 2018. Interns will have a primary base of employment at either the ACC (Akwesasne), Six Nations Indian Museum (SNIM) (Onchiota) or The Wild Center (TWC) in Tupper Lake with cross training in all three centers.
The Akwesasne Cultural Center (ACC), Six Nations Indian Museum (SNIM), and The Wild Center (TWC) are seeking three interns to participate in this capacity building initiative. The ACC, SNIM, and TWC are working together on the Ways of Knowing project, an initiative to broaden and heighten our understanding and appreciation of the natural world. We are seeking highly-motivated individuals who are passionate about their community. Your work will bring you to all three partner museums, where you will learn from staff and build your knowledge and capacities in a variety of ways. The Internship positions are part-time, and flexible to fit around your schedule. Pay: $15/hr. for up to 300 hrs. total between May 21 – Dec. 31, 2018.
