Ice Pigs Repeat as Broomball Champions

The Massena Men's Broomball league came to a close last weekend with one of the Akwesasne representatives winning the big one.

The Ice Pigs finished the season in first place and on the way to that Championship game last weekend they beat Nezerons Construction 4-1. On Saturday they defeated Akwesasne rival The Chiefs 2-0, and the final saw them blank Norwood Legion 8-1. Goalie Evan Cree was the regular season Most Valuable Player.

The Ice Pigs went 12-3-2 throughout the season. The Chiefs also went 12-3-2 in the 2017-18 campaign.
