SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
During Lent, Father Jerome will be available to hear confession on Saturdays from 3:00 – 3:45 PM and Sundays from 9:00 – 9:45 AM.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Each week during Lent the Stations of the Cross will be offered 30 minutes prior to Mass on Saturdays and Sundays. ALL CONFIRMATION AND FIRST COMMUNION STUDENTS undergoing their sacrament preparation are strongly recommended to participate in the reciting of the Stations of the Cross before Mass. This will help increase, strengthen and expand the teachings of Jesus in preparation for receiving the Sacrament(s).
GOD’S CHILDREN IN THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
Please complete applications for baptism and provide a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate for the sacrament of baptism. Interviews are required with Father Jerome. Baptisms are the third Sunday of every month. Call 613-575-2753 for more information Tues-Friday 9AM to Noon.
FASTING AND ABSTINENCE DURING LENT
Lent is the season of forty weekdays between Ash Wednesday and Holy Saturday when Christians focus on simple living, prayer and fasting in order to grow closer to God. Lent is a time to “repent and renew.” Lent helps us to re-focus our life on what really matters. Lent is a 40-day trial run in changing our lifestyle and letting God change our heart.
