The Kawehno:ke School marked their 100th day and the first awards ceremony of the new year.
The theme of the month for January was Perseverance and the awards ceremony was held last Friday, February 9.
This month's sponsor of the First Class club was Kastowa Gas who donated goodies for the students who got to watch the proceedings from First Class seating on the side of the AMS gymnasium. This is a monthly draw for all the students.
Last December 14 the school held their annual Science Fair and the winners received their accolades. They demonstrated their use of the scientific method on a test of their choosing. Three judges looked at the students' written report, display board and oral presentation. Special thanks went to Iris Caldwell for helping to organize the voting on the projects and Darius White for feeding the judges on the day of the Science Fair.
The next step is the SD&G Science Fair in April. Congratulations to the fair winners and all students for their effort throughout the school year.
