A Voice from the Eastern Door

Tsi Snaihne School held its annual "Science on the Wall" competition for grades 1-5 on Tuesday, December 12th. Dwayne Thomas, Chief April Adams-Phillips, Kevin Brisson, Father Patrick, Andrea Carpenter, Jennifer Boots, Brandon David, Tracie Cook and Taylor Armstrong graciously volunteered their time and expertise as judges for the event. We would like to thank ACFS for donating some prizes to the winners.
The following students are moving on to the United Counties Science Fair in April: Kawenohkwas Benedict and Eric Oakes for Grade 1, Sarah Massaro and Kayzia Thompson for Grade 2, Raienteres Swamp and Porter Oakes for Grade 3, Stormy Casey and Ieniehtanawentha Sharrow for Grade 4, and Jayla Keysis and Arrow Adams for Grade 5.
Class winners were:
Grade 1: 1st-Naomi Jacobs, 2nd- Miia Oakes, and 3rd- John Thompson Grade 2: 1st- Kaden Lazore, 2nd- Audriana Terrance, and 3rd- Gertrude Gray Grade 3: 1st- Julia Jackson, 2nd- Karson Arquette-Cook, and 3rd- Mitchell Thompson Grade 4: 1st- Kyren King, 2nd- Lexi Mitchell, and 3rd- Canyon Mason
Grade 5: 1st- Kahiio Mitchell, 2nd- Garin Thompson and 3rd- Orahkwinon Thompson
The grade 6 Science Fair was held on Thursday, December 21st. Cathy Lalonde and Andrea Carpenter interviewed the students on their knowledge of the topic and presentation display. The judges used their teaching experience to help select the winners. The two students moving on to the United Counties Science Fair in April are Kakwitene Thompson and Makyrie White.
Class winners for Grade 6 were: 1st- Alexia Mitchell, 2nd- Tessa Laffin, and 3rd- Kyle Cuillerier.
