A Voice from the Eastern Door

Akwesasne--On Friday, January 26th a Trivia Night fundraiser was held at the Brass Horse to benefit the Akwesasne Epilepsy Support Group. The trivia and Mohawk auction were well attended and the event was a fun and successful night. Thank you to all who came out to enjoy a fun night for a great cause. The 1st place winners of the Trivia were the Team 'The Smartest Four Skins' consisting of Joe Burns, Phil Cook, Alex Burns and Ron Lafrance! These awesome guys generously donated their cash winnings back to the Epilepsy Support Group. Second place team was 'Who Dat' with Jennine Hall, Lana King, Chase Lavoy, and David Lavoy! David LaVoy was also the lucky winner of the grand prize of a Fitbit Charge 2!
The players were treated to many smaller door prizes throughout the night along with tailgate finger foods and tunes by DJ Roger Mitchell! With the success of this fundraiser there will be 5 young adults, who struggle everyday with Epilepsy, who will benefit from a monetary donation made by the Akwesasne Epilepsy Support Group! Thank you once again and hope to see everyone at our next fundraiser!
