Job Title: Men’s Youth Community Outreach Worker
Job Type: 40 hrs./days, evenings, weekends
Reports To: Men’s Program Coordinator

General Position Summary

1. Replace dominant culture beliefs that support violence against women with cultural and spiritual traditions that promote respect for women.
2. Women and Family Safety
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To attend all ongoing program meetings and trainings.
2. To model professional, responsible behavior at all times.
3. Copy and prepare written materials, supplies, etc. for each program project.
4. Maintain accurate, complete records of programs and projects (including program sign-in sheets and completed participant pre/post test evaluations) to provide the Executive Director with monthly status reports.
5. Assist with the development of documents and reports.
6. Organize and provide presentations to community agencies, schools or businesses on prevention issues related to Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Teen Dating Violence, Stalking, and Sex Trafficking.
7. Provide information at health fairs and booths throughout NYS.
8. To uphold the overall mission and goals of Seven Dancers Coalition and abstain from violence and the abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
9. Educate Youth on Sweatlodge teachings, traditional teachings, oral stories, and protocol.
10. To provide other support consistent with job roles assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and phone.
2. Must be willing to travel.
3. An understanding of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Teen Dating Violence, Stalking and Sex Trafficking.
4. Excellent verbal and communication skills and ability to effectively present sensitive topic materials to a wide range of audiences.
5. Excellent organizational skills.
6. Computer competence with Microsoft Office applications.
7. Experience with working with Native American communities.
8. Days along with evening or weekend work will be required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or up to 5 years experience working in the prevention field along with Native American communities.
