A Voice from the Eastern Door
Back by popular demand, TAUNY (Traditional Arts in Upstate New York) will present the program High Tea with the Moore Family on Saturday, January 13 from 2:30-4:00pm. At this program, participants will enjoy the tastes of British tea customs with London-born home cook Fran Moore and her daughter Maggie McKenna. Fran will discuss the intricacies of the British afternoon and evening meals as her mother taught her and she has passed on to her daughters. Fran and Maggie will prepare a variety of traditional teatime treats like sandwiches, biscuits, tarts, cookies, and tea, of course.
The cost for this program is $35 per participant and $30 for TAUNY Friends. Pre-registration is required for this program and space is limited. All ages are welcome. Interested participants can register online at tauny.org or by calling 315-386-4289.
The TAUNY Center is located at 53 Main Street, Downtown Canton, NY.
