St. Regis Mohawk School Hosts Family Fun Night

The St. Regis Mohawk School PTO held a Family Fun Night on Monday, December 11, 2017. The Family Fun Night was part of the Lowe's Tool Box for Education Grant that the school received in the spring of 2017. The grant was to purchase some Math and Movement materials, which included math and literacy mats.

Math and Movement is a nationally acclaimed program which is a kinesthetic, multi-sensory approach to teaching math and reading that incorporates physical activity with visual stimuli created to make learning fun, active, and memorable.

During the Family Fun Night, parents and children moved from mat to mat, learning math activities, and improving their math skills. The St. Regis Mohawk School PTO partnered with Lowe's (Potsdam, NY), who provided volunteers for the event.
