HYDRO QUEBEC LIMITED POWER OUTAGE UPDATE

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is notifying the community that Hydro Quebec has scheduled a limited power outage for parts of Kana:takon & Tsi Snaihne this Friday, October 27, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The outage is due to light pole replacements.

The following streets and buildings of Kana:takon are affected:

Kana:takon School (PD Day)

Admin I

Admin III (Information Services)

Angus Mitchell Memorial Building (Justice Dept)

Angus Thomas Memorial Blvd to Second Street including #4 Kateri Tekakwitha Street

Akwesasne Street including #48

The following addresses of Tsi Snaihne are affected:

7 Oak Court

8 Oak Court

9 Oak Court

11 Oak Court

Should Hydro Quebec need to postpone their plans, the rescheduled date is Monday, Oct. 30th.

Due to the outage, the following MCA buildings & programs will be closed for the day Friday:

Admin 1 including Finance & Payroll, Human Resources, Executive Services

Admin 3 including Information Services (Helpdesk)

Angus Mitchell Memorial Building (Akwesasne Justice Department)

These buildings will re-open as scheduled on Monday, Oct. 30 provided there is no postponement to the work.
