Niawen:kowa from the Nations Cup 2017 

The 2017 Nations Cup host committee wishes to thank everyone who helped out in making the tournament such a successful event. The four days of lacrosse was enjoyed by many local enthusiasts as well as visitors from other communities who watched eight teams compete for a chance to claim the championship. Thank you to 97.3 CKON for your generous sponsorship and support; the community as well as local sports teams and athletes appreciate the efforts put forth by our live and local radio station. Niawen:kowa to the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Maintenance Department for loaning the Nations Cup 2017 the industrial fans that helped the airflow inside the playing area. Thank you to our other sponsors as well, Swamps Performance, Niio Perkins Designs, Elizabeth Perkins Traditional Clothing and Akwesasne Cultural Center.
