A Voice from the Eastern Door
The Ànowaràkowa Arena staff did a great job this past Saturday, September 16th 2017 hosting their Fall Country Fest. The Festival started during the day with local artists and vendors set up inside and out of the Arena from 1 pm to 6 pm. Some of the local artists who performed throughout the day were DJ White, Hawi and Kevin Fitch. The event was free for the family during the day, and for those who have a love for country music.
The main event started at 7 pm, with two different tribute singers performing on stage inside of the arena. The main event was not free, with tickets costing $20 for general admission and $25 for VIP admission. The VIP seating was popular among those attending, with seating directly in front of the stage. There were all different ages attending the main event enjoying the old country songs by George Strait, George Jones and Alan Jackson.
The opening act of the main event was by the Nelson Colt and the Nelson Colt Band with their tribute to George Strait. The opening act did such an amazing job; you wouldn't have known the difference between Mr. Colt and George Strait performing. After the opening act finished performing their set, the next act got ready to perform for everyone; the return of Rick Jones and his stunning tribute to Alan Jackson. He also performed a little bit of George Jones for everyone to enjoy at the end of the night.
The Fall Country Fest was a nice way to end of the summer and get into the fall and school season. The event was organized and sponsored by the Tehotiiennawakon- Ànowaràkowa Arena and Alkaline Entertainment.
