A Voice from the Eastern Door
The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s departments and programs have teamed up with the Ahkwesahsne Mohawk Board of Education to host three evening open house events with a chance for community members to learn more about MCA overall, and for students and parents to see the school and meet with teachers and staff. All are invited to attend and provide your valuable feedback. MCA’s mission for the open houses is to engage with community members, hear directly from you and be directly available to you.
With nearly 1,000 employees, the MCA organization – including AMBE and the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service – is vast. We have many services and programs to share with you and that help make Akwesasne life better. Come out to an open house in your district (or come to all three) and learn about MCA’s services, provide us with the input we need to design our services for your needs, and have chances to win prizes too!
The MCA organization is comprised of: Department of Community & Social Services, Department of Housing, Department of Technical Services, Akwesasne Justice Department, Department of Tehotiienawakon (Economic Development, Environment…), Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service, Ahkwesahsne Mohawk Board of Education, Executive Services & Core Services and Mohawk Government (Council & Council-specific programs).

Wednesday, September 27, 2017 – Kana:takon School
