Tedra Cobb is the perfect candidate to unseat Elise Stefanik and represent the North Country region in the United States House of Representatives. Tedra understands the everyday issues local people face as well as the regional challenges to building a diverse economy, protecting our rural environment, and providing health care, education and other vital services. Tedra is an intelligent and creative problem solver, with the demonstrated know-how to facilitate constructive discussion and reach consensus.

I have personally witnessed Tedra’s growth from when she was a talented student and 1989 graduate of SUNY Potsdam to her present status as a successful businessperson and respected community leader. In the interim, I observed Tedra and her husband Scott raise a beautiful family and care for aging parents. And I saw her serve for eight years as a St. Lawrence County Legislator where she courageously advocated for improving county government policies and practices.

Our divided nation desperately needs people like Tedra Cobb, trustworthy people who can think and act independently and comprehensively. We need elected officials who understand that solutions to today’s complex problems require critical thinking, an open mind, and working with diverse people and groups to find common ground. Tedra Cobb is such a person.
