Iakonkwenti:io Thompson helping out with Our Big Basket. The project is an initiative of the Akwesasne Tourism Office and local basketmakers were invited to chip in in building this big basket. The grass and splints were supplied and all that was asked for was the expertise of local basketmakers. They were invited to design a row or two adding their own unique touch.
