On Sunday, August 20, 2017 a painting fundraiser with Art & Soul was held for Colby Jacobs and family. Colby is the son of Val Dishaw and Jarrod Jacobs and is from Akwesasne. Colby was diagnosed in September 2016 with leukemia and has been battling this disease every day since. He and his parents have been going back and forth to Burlington, VT constantly so he can receive chemotherapy treatments and to receive blood transfusions.
A total of 35 inspiring artists came out to lend their support and were treated to a delicious meal generously donated by The Brass Horse Pizzeria, wine to sip, and a beautiful painting to take home with all supplies provided. Everyone had a great time for a great cause! Thank you to everyone who donated to the silent auction.
