A Voice from the Eastern Door
On June 20th, 2017 Sheree Bonaparte celebrated the grand opening of her shop, 'Ionkwanikonhriiosne'. The store was a dream of hers for years; it took a lot of patience and determination for the shop to become a reality for her. You can see the pride and effort put into the shop, and the beautiful space itself. It's not just a quilting shop, but will function as a learning center also. Sheree plans on having sewing and quilting classes in the near future. As well as the two main classes that will be held, there will be traditional outfit making classes.
As soon as you walk in the store you can see the artistic work of different seamstresses, and inspiration arises almost immediately in anyone who sews or who is interested in learning. Sheree is open to anyone learning to ask her questions while she is at her shop. The shop will be open Monday through Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. At this moment there are different fabrics and sewing materials available in the store, Sheree made it a point to have good quality material available to her customers.
With the help of Robyn Dorion, Sheree was able to open the store successfully. Robyn is from Cornwall, ON and will also be one of the future instructors at the store. Some of her quilts are displayed throughout the store, so anyone can see for themselves how talented she is.
If anyone is interested in attending future classes, all you need to do is go to the store and find out when they are going on, or go to the store website icscfabrics.com for more information.
