(June 7, 2017) The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne welcomed officials from Quebec's Ministry of Transportation Tuesday to discuss road conditions in Akwesasne's Quebec districts of Tsi Snaihne and Kana:takon. The group took a tour on a Akwesasne Mohawk Board of Education school bus winding their way through the roads of Tsi Snaihne, where conditions have been known to be especially rough. The officials concluded their tour with a meeting in Kana:takon that included Grand Chief Abram Benedict. MCA Council is looking forward making progress on their meeting and will be reporting to the community as soon as possible.
