RECORD SUSPENSION (PARDON) INFORMATION SESSION AND ASSISTANCE

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Justice Department will be providing an information session on Record Suspensions (formerly known as Pardons). Individuals who are interested in the pardon/record suspension application process can attend to receive information as well as one-on-one assistance with their applications.

The Record Suspensions Information Session will take place on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Tri District Elders Lodge on Kawehno:ke starting at 6 p.m.

Free sandwiches and refreshments will be provided!

Assistance With Record Suspension (Pardon) Applications

Visit the Akwesasne Court for assistance with your application and an explanation of the process from June 1st to June 30th, from 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.

You may call ahead of time to ensure no waiting time! Make an appointment from Monday to Friday, 8am-3pm for the month of June. 613-575-5000 ext. 2400.

Information About Record Suspension Applications (Pardon)

• The processing Fee is $631.00. Payable to “The Receiver General for Canada.”

• The process requires gathering court documents, criminal record checks and other information where applicable.

• The requisite amount of time must have passed since the completion of your sentence and fines paid.

-5 years for a summary conviction.

-10 years for an indictable offence.
