CASE SUPERVISOR – EDUCATOR - IATC

PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNTY SOCIAL SERVICES

Salary Level: DC 06; STEP 2-3; $50,845.24 - $52,879.05

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Program Manager and Clinical Coordinator, the general purpose of the Case Supervisor/ Educational instructor position is to provide, plan, develop, implement and evaluate specialized educational programs for IATC clientele. The incumbent is responsible for providing shift supervision to ensure client monitoring within the prescribed program plan and delivery of educational programming. The Educational Instructor will assist in client reintegration back into normal school or educational facility when discharge is imminent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of a Bachelors Degree in the field of Social Work or related field with three years documented supervisory experience.

• Certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC) is an asset.

• Knowledge of basic adolescent Program Care procedures within the concepts of alcohol/drug usage, mental/emotional, physical health, academic education, recreation, family and cultural/spiritual health.

• Knowledge of Case Consultation Review Team functions to include an understanding of program plans, assessment, planning consultation and monitoring.
