Project Coordinator to implement the Kanien’kéha Owenna’shón:ah Signage Project

Salary: $15/hour x 35 hours/week from May 2017 to December 2018

Responsibilities:

The coordinator will identify and work with community artists, craftspeople, businesses and organizations in order to develop materials, brochures, signage, mini-lessons on language, and a website up-date. The project will include close coordination on with other museum staff and the funders, Akwesasne Cultural Restoration (ACR) - Áse Tsi Tewá:ton. Consultation will be provided to the coordinator by ACR on language issues.

Qualifications:

• Good to excellent Mohawk language comprehension and spelling

• High School diploma or GED

• Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating projects at an organization or business, including tracking budget expenses.

• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Good to excellent computer and communication skills
