On Thursday, March 2nd, the Akwesasne Area Management Board held a Job Recruitment Fair at the Kawehnoke Recreation Centre. Some representatives from Home Depot in Cornwall were there searching for applicants to fill various positions in their store. Home Depot reached out to this community to find those interested in seeking employment with the company. There are about two to four positions to apply for including cashiers and stockers. The Akwesasne Area Management Board tries to hold two of these job fairs a year to allow people within our community to come and apply directly with the employers, and gain further insight on the positions.
