Thank You

Quilters Fat Quarter Bingo was an event held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 during the 26th Akwesasne Winter Carnival at the Snye Recreation Center.

We are so honored to have received 20 quilts from our generous quilters. These will be divided between Iakhihsohtha and Tsiionkwanonhso:te for our Elders. We had over 25 players join us for the Bingo. We had 6 games where the winner won the bunch of Fat Quarters. Awesome! The 7th game, winners won a basket full of goodies. We had three prizes during this game.

The following donors were Kathy Mitchell, Donna Hastings, Leanne King, Jade Gabri, Brandi King, Ella Arquette, Delia Cook, Jeannine Lazore, Cathy Mitchell, Millie Cook, Carol Lazore, Martha Cook, Kateri Jacobs, Alice Thompson, Judy Cole and the Tri-District Elders. A big “Niawekowa” to each of you, the quilts were absolutely beautiful. For those that donated a quilt for our Elders, their name was put into a special draw. The winner of that draw was Judy Cole. She went away with a new Brother sewing/embroidery machine valued at $740.00. Congratulations.
