The family of the late Mary ‘’Mae’’ Thompson would like to extend our appreciation to those who have helped comfort us in our time of need. Words cannot express how grateful we are that our Mom/Lady Tota had so many wonderful people that were willing to help out during this difficult time. We would like to send a big nia:wenkowa to the following people:

-To the family and friends that came to help out during the wake and at prayers. Whether it was food, flowers, monetary donation, condolences or a hug, we appreciated them all.

-The Pall Bearers: Jay, Jo Jo, Robert, Tawit, Guy and Steve. You all had a very special place in Tota’s heart! MCA Home Support workers that took such great care of Lady Tota, especially Colleen, Rosemary and Barbara.

-To Dr. Young, Janet Brant NP, Lesley Bero and the nurses for making house calls for Tota’s medical needs.

-To our Akwesasne Ambulance EMTs who gave excellent care when they were needed.

-Sister Christine for her weekly prayers with her.

-Donaldson Funeral Home, Father Jerome and Deacon Boyer, thank you for providing a lovely funeral service.

-Missy for reading her beautiful eulogy, Terri and Jenny for the readings and adding to the beautiful funeral service.

-To the Kateri Circle Mohawk Choir and Kathy Herne for providing the wonderful hymns.

-Terri Bova and her daughter Sheyenne for creating the beautiful funeral program.

-Rosemary and Stacey Montour for providing the slide show on the projection machine.

-Tasha and her girls for providing the many photos of Tota and creating the collages.

-Tri-District Elders and the Kawehno:ke Recreation for allowing us to have the wake and memorial meal at your facilities.

-The Leaf family for cooking such a delicious memorial meal, we received many compliments on the food.

-Stanley Thompson for providing the floodlight to make the parking lot safe for people attending the wake.

-Jay Benedict for making sure the facility was safe during the wake. Words cannot express how above and beyond you went for Tota. Thank you for making sure she was taken care of.

To anyone that we may have forgotten to mention we apologize but do appreciate it. Our Mom/Lady Tota was a very special lady and witnessed many things in her 103 years of life. Her love and laughter will be greatly missed by many. She is now with her many loved ones that have passed before her. Until we meet again Mom/Lady Tota, we love you!
