Lisa Loran-Jacobs of Akwesasne, aged 58 years, born December 14, 1958 in Massena, New York, passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.
Survived by her adoring companion of 28 years, Matthew Jacobs, her "babe".
Loving mother of Jeremy Jacobs (Carrie) and Kelly Jacobs (Jay).
Cherished grandmother of Thomas "Skoot", Tyana "Nana", Tryton "Honey Boy", and Terrel "Relly" and chosen grandson Lennix Heiserman. Also survived by her Aunt Shirley Jacobs.
Dearest godmother to David Thomas and Lacey Chubb.
Loving sister of Bernie Loran, Dawn Loran, Fran Chubb (Rob), Aaron (Karen) and Mike (April). Niece to Aunt Connie, Aunt Irene, Aunt Venita, Aunt Maryann and Uncle Carl. She will be lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by her parents Verna and Bernard Loran SR., her sister Lois Ann, her brother Tracy Loran in infancy, her nephew Landon Cook Loran, her godparents Richard and Ella Peters, her aunts Theresa Sunday, Elizabeth "Betty" Laughing, Esther Loran and Jeanette Cook and by her uncles Benny Roundpoint, Daniel Loran and Sanford Loran.
She loved watching her grandsons Thomas, Tryton and Terrel playing Lacrosse. She knew the game better than most refs. She loved watching her granddaughter Tyana play volleyball. Lisa loved dollar digging, and taking photos and spending time with her family and friends. Lisa was an avid fan of lacrosse, the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Funeral Service was held at the Homemakers Centre in Snye, QC on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 11 am. Interment to follow in the spring.
