Akwesasne Wolves Peewee "B" Downed One in Thriller

It was the Akwesasne Peewee's vs. Chad Watson. The winner: Watson of the Char-Lan Rebels, who scored all their goals in an 8-7 win in one of their final games of 2016.

Watson even got a pair of penalties to fill in the scoresheet.

For the Wolves Camrin King was at the right place at the right time and he picked up a hat trick.

His first goal came when he was parked in the crease and took a pass from Richard Thompson behind the Rebel's net. His second goal came when Kyden Burns picked apart the Char-Lan defense and his pass to King parked in front of the crease was right on the tape.

His third goal came when the Wolves took a few whacks at the puck in front of Rebel's goalie Michael Chaput and one of those rebounds came out to King and he scored to top off his three goal night.

Kahentaienni Thompson netted a pair of goals. One came on the power play and the other came when he tipped in a blast from the blue line by Bryli Thompson.

Char-Lan was leading 8-6 when Carter Jackson scored to bring them within one to setup the thrilling finish.

The Wolves had three big chances in the final minute to tie. Tryton Benedict was tied up in heavy traffic in front of Rebel's goalie Chaput and he tapped it toward the net but it trickled across the goal line.

Burns had a late breakaway but Char-Lan got back and stripped him of the puck, and Kahentaienni Thompson took a dying seconds shot on goal but it sailed wide and the Rebels held on for the win.
