Akwesasne Child and Family Services Celebrates National Child's Day

On Friday, December 9th, Akwesasne Child and Family Services celebrated National Child's Day at the St. Regis Mohawk School. At this annual event, children are able to win tickets by playing games. The tickets can then be entered in various prize drawings, including two grand prizes. Early in the night, there was a free meal that included soup, bread, cookies, and a drink. This event was catered by T-N-T Deli. Along with games, children could jump in bounce houses, check out the vendors, get their face painted, and get their photo taken in a funny photo booth. Children were also able to meet some of their favorite Disney Princess characters and Superheroes. This event was entirely sponsored by Akwesasne Child and Family Services, and they also provided all of the prize drawings for the evening. This event is a great way to encourage children to strive for success, and to keep the school environments more positive and uplifting.
