Stars and Lady Devils Tie

It was a meeting last Sunday between the two Akwesasne teams of the Cornwall Indoor Soccer league and they played to a 1-1 tie.

The Stars (3-4-2) were coming off a 1-0 loss the week before while the Lady Devils (2-5-2) won their previous game 2-0.

Taylor Francis of the Stars and Jenna Prieur of the Devils scored for their respective teams.

On Francis's goal the ball struck Devil's goalie Julia Philips in the face and she went down while the goal stood. She was replaced by Tristan Thomas. When play resumed the Stars tested Thomas immediately and got one by her but it hit the goal post and went wide. Minutes later Philips returned to the cage.

Prieur's goal came from a huge kick from near centerfield. The game was played at the Benson Center.
