Linda M. Tessier

AKWESASNE - Linda Marie Tessier, 77 years old, of 2632 State Route 21, Canandaigua, New York, and a native of Akwesasne, passed away after a long struggle of health conditions, surrounded by her family at Thompson Hospital on Sunday, November 20, 2016.

Linda was born November 4, 1939 in Syracuse the second of five children, daughter of William & Phoebe Francis. She married George "Joe" W. Tessier on August 31, 1963. He predeceased her on March 10, 2004.

Linda loved going to BINGO every week, knitting, word searches and spending time with her family. The family would like to offer special thanks to the Thompson Nursing staff who cared for her during her hospital stays.

Survived by her sisters Phyllis Terrance, Patricia Boots and Martha LaFrance. She is also survived by her children Dennis Tessier, Helen & John Goodale, Lawrence & Kelley Tessier, Corey & Sarah Tessier. By her grandchildren Kristen Tessier & Seth Jones, Karri Tessier, Jordan Eaves, Bianca Tessier, Tristian Tessier, Logan Tessier, Presten Tessier, Christian Tessier, Peyton & Baylee Tessier. By her great-grandchildren Ariel Rosato, Alexia Boufford, Aidan Boufford, Killian Jones, Currin Rosato, Cody Boufford, Chloe Tessier and Piper Jones.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Stanley and William Francis.

Friends called at the home of her sister-in-law, Jennifer Francis, from Sunday until Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at St. Regis Catholic Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery, Massena.
