A Voice from the Eastern Door
Sunday, October 16, 2016
1:00pm – 3:30pm
Knox St. Paul’s United Church
800 Twelfth Street West (off of McConnell)
All are welcome to gather for soup and bread and hear guest speaker Kate Green. This is a free even and a chance to learn about food, globalization, climate change and local connections, as well as the opportunity to discuss the issues and ask questions.
Kate Green has focused on the work with farmers in Nepal, Bangladesh and Timor Leste and is quite well connected to the seed movement in Canada. She has degrees from Queen’s, the University of East Anglia (UK) and Ryerson University. Outside of her work at USC Canada, Kate has also been on the board of Seeds of Diversity since 2012.
This event is made possible through the partnership of Journey Together (Knox St. Paul’s) All Things Food, The Social Development Council of Cornwall and Area and Transition Cornwall+.
