Chief Jacobs Visits AMS

Kana:takon District Chief Ryan Jacobs spent time with students at the Ahkwesahsne Mohawk School yesterday giving them an overview of how Mohawk Council and local government works. Chief Jacobs (Education portfolio holder) answered many questions from the curious 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, which ranged from "How do you know everyone's totas?" to "Can we get our lacrosse box fixed?" and "Can we have more fun things to do on the island?" It was a great exercise for students to learn what MCA chiefs can or can't help them with, and it was a great chance for Chief Jacobs to hear from the youth.
