Swamp's Performance teamed up with SRMT's Social Service Division and MCA's Family Wellness Program to the give away 100 backpacks stuffed with school supplies for students from grade two to grade twelve. MCA's Family Wellness Program provided backpacks and school supplies for grade one students.
MCA's Family Wellness Program presented students with a "Be a Buddy, Not a Bully" pledge to sign after receiving their new backpack.
The pledge read, "I will be respectful to myself and others. I will be a friend to those who are being bullied. I will stand up and step in. And I will be a buddy not a bully."
With such a great success this year, they plan to hand out school backpacks for the 2017/2018 school year too.
