Venom Still Looking for First Win

The Seaway Valley Venom have thus far been unable to break their unvictorious streak this season, facing three more losses to Syracuse, Sussex and Plattsburgh.

Their record stands at 0-7 with three regular season games to go.

On Aug. 27, they dropped an 82-13 decision to the host Plattsburgh North Stars.

Their two touchdowns came from Nick Steenkamer on a 78-yard kick return in the third quarter and Joe McDonald of Akwesasne on a 22-yard fumble recovery in the closing frame. Kicker Mike Horth went 1-2 on PAT attempts.

Aug. 20 saw the Venom fell 62-0 to the Sussex Stags, who trekked to the North Country from New Jersey.

Dmitri Lafrance went 0-1 in pass attempts, lost 4 yards rushing on one attempt and punted three times for a total of 115 yards, with a long of 48 yards. He had two solo tackles on defense.

McDonald had one solo tackle and two assists.

On Aug. 13, Seaway Valley fell 67-0 on the road against the Syracuse Strong. Venom statistics were not available.
