St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police blotter, Aug. 12-23, reported Aug. 29:
On Aug. 12, police arrested Kevin N. Castor, 31, of Hogansburg for driving while intoxicated (felony), aggravated driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor) and passing in a no-pass zone. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on Sept. 6.
On Aug. 14, police arrested Arron A. White, 18, of Hogansburg for aggravated DWI (misdemeanor), DWI (misdemeanor), fail to use designated lane, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, possession of alcoholic beverage and unlawful possession of marijuana. Tickets were returnable to Bombay Town Court on Aug. 23.
On Aug. 17, police ticketed Skylar A. Thomas, 18, of Hogansburg for unlicensed operation and fail to use designated lane. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on Sept. 13.
On Aug. 17, police ticketed Chantelle C. White, 25, of Hogansburg for second-degree AUO and stop sign violation. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on Sept. 13.
On Aug. 17, police arrested Duran N. Jackson, 30, of Hogansburg for aggravated criminal contempt (felony) and third-degree assault (misdemeanor). He was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail, Malone in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond. He was to have returned to court on Aug. 23.
On Aug. 18, police arrested Mathew M. Buckshot, 29, of Hogansburg for a warrant. He was arraigned in Bombay town court and given a Sept. 6 return date.
On Aug. 19, police arrested Robert J. Smoke, 48, of Hogansburg for a warrant. He was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail, Malone in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond with a Sept. 20 return date.
On Aug. 23, police arrested Lesley A. Fountain, 33, of Snye, Quebec for a warrant and third-degree AUO. She was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and given a Sept. 20 return date.
New York State Police blotter:
Justin A. Square, 20, of Hogansburg was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 27 on State Route 30 in Duane. He was released with an appearance ticket.
Isaac W. Gray, 20, of Hogansburg was charged with first-degree possession of dangerous prison contraband, felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 20 in Malone. He was arraigned and released after posting a bail bond, troopers said.
Cornwall Community Police Service Blotter:
TRESPASS BY NIGHT, THEFT UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – Jordan Leaf, 19 and Bryden Montour, 19 both from Akwesasne, were arrested on August 21st, 2016 and charged with trespass by night and theft under $5000. It is alleged in the early morning hours of August 21st, 2016 the men were spotted by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service rummaging through a parked car at an address on Sydney Street. They were taken into custody and found to be in possession of property that belonged to the owner of the car. They were both charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service Police Blotter:
The Akwesasne Mohawk Police responded to a disturbance on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at a residence on Angus Thomas Memorial Street in Kanatakon. Police determined that a male and two female non-residents provided a female with a ride home from the Brasshorse. While at the residence in Kanatakon, an argument ensued causing a disturbance resulting in police being called. An investigation resulted in the three non-residents being transported to CBSA under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Police also arrested a 22 year old female and charged her with Obstruct peace officer section 129(a) cc, Assault peace officer section 270(1)(a) cc, Resist peace officer section 129(a) cc and Akwesasne Intoxicants By-Law. The 22 year old female was processed at the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Station and released to appear in court at a later date.
On August 22, 2016 the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service arrested 30 year old Garrett Ross David of Kawehnoke for an incident that occurred at a residence on Kawehnoke on August 14, 2016. Mr. David was charged with “Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent” contrary to Section 335(1) Criminal Code of Canada, “Assault” contrary to Section 266 Criminal Code of Canada, and “Assault Causing Bodily Harm” contrary to Section 267(b) Criminal Code of Canada. Mr. David was processed and released to attend court at a later date.
On August 26, 2016 the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service arrested 25 year old Darrell (Debo) Herne on an outstanding Arrest Warrant issued from Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. Darrell Herne is accused of Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference of a youth. Mr. Herne was turned over to RCMP Cornwall Detachment without incident to be transported back to the jurisdiction where the warrant was issued.
