The Hogansburg/Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department, the Akwesasne Mohawk Police and the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police were ready with their boats on the water and cruisers on land to protects racers and viewers alike. Here, all three on Racquette River just before the race started.
Stewart Peters once again was his own one-man team. Unfortunately, due to bike problems he had to drop out of the race.

The all-women's team, Shark Bait Hoo Haa Haas, with Margaret Jacobs, Denise Jackson, Kayla Papineau, Sarah Roundpoint, Pamela Jacobs and Keely Thompson-Cook.
Second place went to Team Kastowa; Ryan Jacobs, Caleb Bradley, Joyce Leaf, Kristen Ransom, Dwight Bero Jr. and Angelo Johnson.
Another year and a new team of winners emerge. This year's winning team, 'Helga's Heroes' clocked in at 2 hours and 59 minutes. Team "Kastowa" finished second with a time of 3 hours and 17 minutes. Team 'Rex Ball' finished third with only three team members and a time of 3 hours and 21 minutes. The 'Ad Hocs' from Six Nations joined the race once again. Last year they dominated the field coming in first place, this year they finished fourth with a time of 3 hours and 41 minutes. This year also had saw a strong all-women's team, Team 'Shark Bait Hoo Haa Haas' who finished with a time of 4 hours and 1 minute.
