TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION (UNDERFILL MAY BE CONSIDERED) DEPARTMENT OF TECHNICAL SERVICES

Pay Level: OSPE $108,259.08 - $110,547.02

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the Supervision of the Director, the incumbent oversees the day to day implementation of all capital projects, major maintenance projects of existing assets and generally is involved in all technical aspects within the organization, including the financial and contractual obligations. Provide Project Planning Management/Construction Management Services on Community infrastructure type projects. Have good working relationships beyond the scope of contractual services such as vendors, service providers and other project consulting agencies. Ensure that the best interests of MCA and the Community and all project deadlines and schedules are being met. This position is a requirement of Indigenous and Northern Development Canada and must be held by a Professional in good standing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-Secondary graduate with degree in Engineering and must be a registered professional Engineer with the province of Ontario and/or Quebec OR

• Post-Secondary graduate with degree in Architecture and must be a registered professional Architect with the province of Ontario and/or Quebec.

• Must have a minimum eight (8) years experience in engineering or architecture related service on various community building and infrastructure type projects.

• Must have a minimum four (4) years experience in technical project management.

UNDERFILL CRITERIA:

• Must be a Post-Secondary graduate with four (4) year degree in engineering or architecture.

• Must be able to obtain relevant professional designation within two (2) years.

• Must have a minimum six (6) years experience in engineering or architecture related service.

• Must have a minimum two (2) years experience in technical project management.
