The Akwesasne Stars hit a speed bump on the way to repeating as Division 2 League champions of the Cornwall and District Soccer League.
Last Monday in their playoff opener against Emard Brothers Mudders they were defeated 5-2.
Taylor Francis and Diane Lazore scored for the Stars and the second game of their post-season was last night after press time.
The other Akwesasne based team in the CDSL – the Lady Devils, have a bye into the playoffs and they are in Division 1 of the Cornwall League.
