Nominations were held in the district of Tsi Snaihne and Kanatakon on Saturday, July 09, 2016.

Sheila Adams nominated by Dwayne Thomas seconded by Courtney Thomas

Official list of nominees in Kanatakon:

Two year board seat:

Theresa Jacobs nominated by Connie Hall seconded by Julie Phillips-Jacobs

Three Year board seat:

Cecelia King nominated by Connie Hall seconded by Julie Phillips-Jacobs

An election will not be necessary as Sheila Adams and Theresa Jacobs will be acclaimed into the positions.

Any appeals to the Ahkwesahsne Mohawk Board of Education in relation to the election process must be received in written form, signed and delivered in person to the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Station no later than 6:00pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2016.
