Indians 1-1 in Playoff Series Against Oakville

On Saturday, July 9, the Akwesasne Jr. B Indians took on the Oakville Buzz at the Anowarakowa and won the game, a close 6-5.

Goals came from Poe Albany (1G, 1A), Tesi Oakes (1G, 2A), Tommy Thomas (2G, 1A), Kyle Lewis (1G, 1A) and Myles Jacobs (1G, 1A). Derek Lister, Russ Oakes, Hawi Tarbell and Keegan Thomas all chipped in single assists.

Akwesasne played Oakville again on Sunday at the arena and were handed the first loss of the playoffs when Oakville claimed the 11-7 victory. Goals came from Poe Albany (2G, 3A), Tesi Oakes (3G, 1A), Kyle Lewis (1G, 2A) and Hawi Tarbell (1G). Brock Daze (1), Derek Lister (1), Russ Oakes (2) and Kason Tarbell (2) had assists

The remainder of the games, three in a best of five, will be played at Oakville this weekend, July 15-17.
