Position Title: Kanien’keha Language Teachers

Program: AMBE

Reports to: School Principal

Salary: Based on AMBE Salary Grid for Teachers

FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the School Principal, the teacher will provide instruction to all students under his/her charge following prescribed Skahwatsi:ra Program Curriculum guidelines; maintain lesson plans and long range instructional plans; develop and implement a sound timetable of daily instructional assignments; establish high standards for pupil behaviour and academic growth; prepare reports on attendance, conduct and program; be aware of the needs of the school learner; be able to work as part of a team in a challenging but rewarding environment; and perform any other related duties as necessary,

QUALIFICATIONS: An Ontario Teaching Certificate in the Primary and Junior Divisions or NYS Certification N-6 or a Native Second Language (NSL) qualification.

Fluency in Kanien’keha is a must.
