A Voice from the Eastern Door
Mr. Chad Fairfoull, Founder and Operator of Paragon Lacrosse 514 of Montreal, Canada is the center of controversy over registration fees paid for a Winter Lacrosse League. According to sources, parents paid up to $850.00 per child to play in an indoor lacrosse league promising regularly scheduled practices and tournaments in the US and what they received was cancellation after cancellation. But no refunds. Parents from Akwesasne, Montreal and Kahnawake have been trying to contact Mr. Fairfoull, who is the Technical Director for the Cornwall Minor Lacrosse Association, which includes the Cornwall Celtic’s Jr. C team.
Over $80,000 was collected in fees; $850.00 per player with at least 19 players adds up to $16,150, multiply that by five teams and you get $80,000 from players, parents and grandparents.
Parents paid in cash, without receipts, in American and Canadian funds. Fairfoull allegedly claims he hasn’t had time to “get to the bank” to exchange it to make refunds.
Fairfoull claims to be suffering from sarcoidosis, a disease involving abnormal collections of inflammatory cells that usually begins in the lungs and according to reports, Fairfoull has been suffering from this as far back as 2010. However, on practice nights for the Cornwall Celtics, Mr. Fairfoull can reportedly be seen at the Benson Center in Cornwall practicing with the lacrosse team.
Parents and grandparents then took things into their own hands and contacted various arenas where they were scheduled to play. According to several parents Fairfoull paid a deposit then reneged on the remainder of the fees and still failed to refund registration fees to many of the parents. Frustrated, the parents gathered information, which was turned over to the Cornwall Police.
As of Wednesday, April 27, 2106, Fairfoull has not responded to any attempts made to contact him.
When the Cornwall Minor Lacrosse was contacted, they answered with, “‘No Comment’, as Cornwall Minor Lacrosse has nothing to do with Paragon Lacrosse.”

Made several attempts to contact Chad. NO response, saddens me to know that someone who we supported through hard times, would actual STEAL from his supporters. Won't ever play or recommend his league
